place for people with disabilities and non-verbal communicators and I won't stop until I get there.
My Longterm Goals with Software Engineering
Inspired by my child, I would like to develop assistive technology for people who are non-verbal or are on the Autism Spectrum to create dynamic
software to enhance and encourage vocalization and breach the communication barrier these individuals and their caregivers face.
I would like to incorporate machine learning and artificial intelligence into personalized software and produce innovative software to give
these individuals a voice and give back to a community that helped my son and I when we needed the most support.
As a mother to a child who often needed more support with his speech apraxia, I've often found that schools and publicly offered services seem to
shy away from AAC choices, whether that is one kid having a device while others do not and I want to find ways to make the learning solutions more
unified and effective for our educators and students to bridge these services and grant students equal opportunity to these technologies regardless
of their need level.
